MITEC stands for Microtechnology and Instrumentation for Thermal and Electromagnetic Characterization.
The MITEC group's research activities are divided into several themes:
- Instrumentation for microwaves and millimeter waves.
- Characterization of materials: measurement of complex dielectric permittivity and thermal conductivity.
- Design and production of RF devices on flexible biopolymer substrates.
- Durable RF electronics.
Examples of research topics developed by members of the MITEC group:
- Design and production of microwave systems using the "six-port" technique.
- Modelling the interaction between electromagnetic waves and new materials (thin-film materials, powders, etc.).
- Broadband measurement of the complex dielectric permittivity of materials deposited in thin films.
- Broadband measurement of the complex dielectric permittivity of bio-sourced substrates.
- Producing RF antennas and filters on flexible bio-sourced substrates.
- Production of electromagnetic energy recovery systems (rectenna) on flexible bio-sourced substrates.
- Measurement of the thermal conductivity of materials deposited in thin films.
"gather research collaborators with common approaches for actions around shared goals".
