The NCM group (Nanostructures, nanoComponents & Molecules) is a research group of the Institute of Electronics Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (IEMN)IEMN) a CNRS associated University of Lille. The group is part of the "Nanostructured Materials and Components" of the IEMN.
The group's positioning and originality are based on the use of organic materials for studies and applications in electronics, with the advantage of using materials that are abundant on Earth, potentially low-cost, flexible and with almost infinite design possibilities thanks to the richness provided by chemistry.
The Group's distinctive identity NCM group is based on design the characterisation and the operation of organic materials such as polymersthe molecules and nanostructures for a fundamental understanding of the physical phenomena within these materials and their use in innovative organic electronic devices.
This research is highly multidisciplinary, covering a spectrum ranging from nanotechnologies to the neuromorphology via theorganic and molecular electronics.
This approach also encompasses a wide range of activities, from basic studies on understanding physical phenomena on a molecular scale, right up to applications with the integration of sensors.
