The NCM group (Nanostructures, nanoComponents & Molecules) is a research group of the Institute of Electronics Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (IEMN), a CNRS laboratory associated with the university of Lille.. The group is part of the department of materials and nanostructures at IEMN.
The NCM group is interested in the physics of nanostructures and micro or nano-devices made of organic materials, assembly of molecules (self-assembled monolayers), oxide or iono-electronic materials.
We contribute to knowledge development, studying the fundamental electronic and transport properties, design and fabricate of various functional devices based on these materials such as organic electrochemical transistor (OECT), memory, sensor, transistor, diode rectifier, switch, memristor (memory-resistor) and synapstor (synapse-transistor).
Our research objectives are:
- design and characterization of microscale or nanoscale electronic devices
- study of functional molecular/organic/bio-inspired devices and the integrated systems associated
- elucidation of fundamental electronic properties of these devices/systems
- exploration of new device and circuit concepts such as bio-inspired computing paradigm
