Imen HNID currently works as an associate professor at école polytech Lille and at Institut d’Electronique, de Microélectronique et de Nanotechnologie (IEMN). She teaches several topics in the physical chemistry of materials, and she does research in nanoscience, molecular electronics, and nanotechnologies. One current project is Evolving electronic transport in molecules/nanoparticles networks – EVOLMONET.

  • Scanning probe microscope in electric mode (Conducting-AFM)
  • Functionalization and surface characterizations
  • Electronic properties of light switchable molecules deposited in self-assembled monolayer

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

2022 – Present : Associate professor, Polytech Lille / IEMN (Lille, France).

2021-2022 : Postdoctoral Fellow, French National Research Center CNRS, IEMN (Lille, France). Supervisors: Stéphane Lenfant and Dominique Vuillaume.

2017-2021 : PhD student, The laboratory Interfaces Traitements Organisation et DYnamique des Systèmes ITODYS (Paris, France). Photoactive molecular surfaces and junctions: organizations, functionalizations and characterizations by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and conductive atomic force microscopy (C-AFM). Supervisor: Jean Christophe Lacroix.


EDUCATION

2017-2021 : PhD, University of Paris / Nanosciences, Materials, Surfaces.

2016-2017 : MSc, University of Paris Saclay / Inorganic Chemistry – Molecules, Surfaces, and Nano-objects.

DISTINCTIONS

  • National Prize : 2nd PhD thesis award  of  René Dabard – ENSCR 2022. Issued by École nationale supérieure de chimie de Rennes.
  • Regional Prize : Best PhD thesis award 2022 in Inorganic, Mineral and Materials Chemistry of the SCF-IdF (Société Chimique de France-Île de France).
  • Scholarship to perform a research internship in France. Issued by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia (March-June 2016).
