CSAM (Circuits Systèmes Applications des Micro-ondes) is a research group whose activities are resolutely oriented towards drastically improving the energy efficiency of communications and information processing systems. Reducing the energy cost of these systems without compromising their performance is the main motivation of the research activities carried out.
The quest for extreme energy efficiency requires a transverse approach from the component to the global network. To meet this challenge, CSAM's broad spectrum of research activities covers a wide range of related issues, from 3D micro-storage devices to hardware-software interfaces.
The CSAM group's scientific approach is characterized by a resolutely multidisciplinary approach. A founding element of theIRCICA (Institut de Recherche sur les Composants logiciels et matériels pour l'Information et la Communication Avancée - USR CNRS 3380), the group interacts continuously with researchers in the fields of computer science (CRYSTAL) and health (INSERM) to develop innovative solutions to academic and industrial problems related to telecommunications and information processing.
