Joint laboratories with companies
A joint team between IEMN and the company HORIBA is created on 2018 in the frame of a call for projects ‘Mixed Teams Laboratories Companies’ of the Hauts‐de‐France Region. This common academic‐private team benefits of ERDF funding and ANRT CIFRE program to develop research on the development of innovative characterization tools as well as the physico‐chemical characterization of nanomaterials, in particular by atomic force microscopy techniques and advanced Raman advanced (TERS – Tip‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy) and infrared spectroscopy.
From a quantitative standpoint, the ST‐IEMN collaboration has generated a long track record of published research with more than 740 products taking multiple forms of dissemination, namely, 115 articles in peer‐reviewed international journal, 341 communications in peer‐reviewed and 39 invited papers in international conferences, 57 priority patents and 116 associated patent extensions, 11 contributions to book chapters and 66 PhD manuscripts. Not less than 19 PhD candidates are currently involved in the Common Lab, 14 of them under the CIFRE regime. This collaboration has also been instrumental to receive research funding from national programs (2008,2012,2017 and now 2002 NANO projects, EQUIPEX) and from European joint undertakings (ENIAC, ECSEL, CATRENE, ERC, FP5, FP6, FP7 and H2020).
