On December 3, the University of Lille and its Foundation brought together startups, financiers, alumni, and institutional players at a meeting dedicated to innovation, organized in partnership with Eurasanté and the Hauts-de-France Regional Council.
The event was attended by Valérie Six, Regional Councilor for Innovation; Frédéric Motte, President of the University of Lille Foundation; Franck Dumeignil, Vice President for Valorization and Science-Society Relations; and representatives from the Hauts-de-France Region. The initiative provided a unique space for inspiring testimonials, exchanges between ecosystem stakeholders, and demonstrations illustrating the dynamism of the industrial sector.
This meeting highlighted entrepreneurship stemming from university research, notably through the presence of two spin-offs from the IEMN: the startup Voltify and the SME MC2 Technologies.
The evening also featured a highlight: the awards ceremony for the Innovation 2025 Competition, organized by the Lille University Innovation Cluster (PUI). Of the five shortlisted projects, two were led by IEMN (teacher-)researchers, demonstrating the dynamism and creativity of its teams. The SONODEL project, led by Michael Baudoin and based on acoustic gripper technologies, stood out in particular, winning second prize in the competition.
