Mr Thierry TINGAUD, chairman of the strategic committee for the electronics industry and chairman of StMicroelectronics France, will present the 6 structuring projects in the contract recently signed by the Minister for the Economy and Finance, Bruno LEMAIRE, on 15 March.
- Mastering key technologies
- Accelerating the electronics industry of the future
- Disseminating electronics as part of the digital transformation of businesses
- Adapting skills and jobs to the needs of industry
- Acting on a European scale and projecting internationally
- Artificial Intelligence: a structuring project for the industry
These projects address the major challenges facing the industry, namely :
- Mastering the necessary technologies (existing and evolving), staying at the cutting edge (innovation) and meeting the challenges of miniaturisation, integration and competitiveness.
- Digitalise the electronics value chain and control costs throughout the chain (productivity and competitiveness).
- Support the digital transformation of the industry and be able to create a coordination structure with downstream sectors.
- Respond rapidly to the skills requirements linked to changes in the market (quality, type and volume).
- Developing European leadership, projecting internationally and responding to issues of autonomy and sovereignty.
