Missions |
Reporting to the Head of the "Hygiene, Safety and Infrastructure" Department, the role of the agent will be to ensure that the laboratory's facilities are in good working order and to respond to internal requests for servicing and maintenance.

Activities |
On a daily basis, the agent will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the site's property installations. In particular, this involves :
- Managing, organising and coordinating the activities of internal and external maintenance and operations teams
- Together with the department manager, to set up and monitor contractual arrangements with external partners for operation and maintenance.
- To manage, monitor and optimise the operation of low-voltage technical installations (telephony, badge access, IR barriers, gas and fire control systems, Centralised Technical Management (CTM, BMS), video surveillance, electrical installation, anti-intrusion system), and high-voltage installations (HV / LV electrical installations) with a view to overall cost, energy efficiency and comfort.
- Setting up and monitoring contracts for regulatory technical inspections and other outsourced operation/maintenance services.
- Managing the design and implementation of maintenance work (organising, studying, planning, checking and acceptance).
- Propose, justify and monitor the implementation of the budget forecasts required for the operation/maintenance activity.
- Applying safety rules around the laboratory's electrical installations.
- Responding to specific needs relating to the building and its operation
- Help ensure the safety of people and premises |
Qualifications: |
Knowledge :
- Electricity: high and low voltage (in-depth knowledge).
- Local equipment installation and maintenance techniques (in-depth knowledge).
- Techniques for optimising plant operation (in-depth knowledge)
- Project management methodology (basic concepts)
- Techniques for the various building trades (general knowledge)
- Fire safety regulations (general knowledge)
- Public procurement (basic knowledge) : To be able to award a contract and monitor its performance.

Context: |
The assistant engineer will work in the Health, Safety and Infrastructure department of the IEMN's central laboratory in Villeneuve d'Ascq. He/she will report to the head of this department. The IEMN is a 450-strong research institute. Its research activity is multidisciplinary and covers a broad spectrum ranging from materials physics to telecommunications systems. Its research activities are based mainly on two technical departments: the Centrale de Micro et Nano Fabrication (C.M.N.F) and the plateforme de Caractérisation Multi-Physique (P.C.M.P).
The Hygiene-Safety and Infrastructure Department is a joint department of the IEMN, with a staff of 3. Two of its members are responsible for managing and coordinating all maintenance operations on building installations, as well as logistics operations and works on the IEMN site. This complex 13,400m2 infrastructure includes a 1,600m2 clean room and a 1,400m2 laboratory in the ISO8 zone.
The position is located in a sector covered by the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with the regulations, that your arrival be authorised by the competent MESR authority. |
