Présentation du comité stratégique de la filière Industrie électronique

13/06/2019 - 09h00 - IEMN Central Laboratory - Boardroom

Cité Scientifique Campus - Villeneuve d'Ascq

Mr Thierry TINGAUD, chairman of the strategic committee for the electronics industry and chairman of StMicroelectronics France, will present the 6 structuring projects in the contract recently signed by the Minister for the Economy and Finance, Bruno LEMAIRE, on 15 March.

The projects are :

  1. Mastering key technologies
  2. Accelerating the electronics industry of the future
  3. Disseminating electronics as part of the digital transformation of businesses
  4. Adapting skills and jobs to the needs of industry
  5. Acting on a European scale and projecting internationally
  6. Artificial Intelligence: a structuring project for the industry

These projects address the major challenges facing the industry, namely :

  • Mastering the necessary technologies (existing and evolving), staying at the cutting edge (innovation) and meeting the challenges of miniaturisation, integration and competitiveness.
  • Digitalise the electronics value chain and control costs throughout the chain (productivity and competitiveness).
  • Support the digital transformation of the industry and be able to create a coordination structure with downstream sectors.
  • Respond rapidly to the skills requirements linked to changes in the market (quality, type and volume).
  • Developing European leadership, projecting internationally and responding to issues of autonomy and sovereignty.

The strategic contract for the electronics industry can be downloaded from this DGE link (bottom of page): https://www.conseil-national-industrie.gouv.fr/comites-strategiques-de-filiere/la-filiere-industries-de-electronique

There will also be a presentation of the laboratory, the University of Lille and the Hauts-de-France region (see programme below).
