IEMN-KAIST Collaboration

The IEMN collaboration with the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Korea, was recently initiated in 2009 following the award of a STAR project coordinated by the French Embassy in Seoul.
The two institutions have complementary research expertise in the areas addressed by the project, which cover the development of low cost lighting components based on high performance white LEDs. New nanomaterials and technologies are used for this purpose and studied both at KAIST and IEMN. The key researchers involved in this program are Ms A. GOKARNA (IEMN) M. E. CHO (KAIST). The STAR project is planned for a two year period.
