Organization

5 microscope are running in ambient air or in liquids and 3 microscopes are operated under UHV, which is one of the most important microscopy platform in France.

3 engineers take care of the machines, manage the access and provide some training to scientists who want to use the microscope. They constantly develop new machines and techniques and they also make experiments for outside laboratories. They work in close contact to the Physics Group.

We can analyse your samples on appointment.

For more demanding needs (>1 analysis / 15days), please contact our staff for a training (one day per person).

You can contact us if you want to analyse your samples, for a training, or simply for an advice!

Localization of our labs

The ambient-air AFM, the UHV-Variable Temperature AFM and the UHV-Room Temperature STM laboratories are situated at the 1st floor of the central laboratory of IEMN , respectively rooms 131, 133 and 141.

The UHV-Low Temperature STM laboratory is situated at the ISEN antenna of IEMN, room A109.
