Vos actions sont une source d\u2019inspiration et contribue, chaque jour, \u00e0 \u00e9crire l\u2019avenir de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/metropoledelille\/\">M\u00e9tropole Europ\u00e9enne de Lille (MEL)<\/a> et de notre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/region-hauts-de-france\/\">Hauts-de-France Region<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As part of our video portrait series \u201cOur Female Researchers\u201d, and to mark International Women\u2019s Day, the<a class=\"NBQaMOapyvoNfXRvUhkMQEypnZCoQVSnuqA\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/iemn-cnrs\/\" target=\"_self\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">IEMN<\/a> is delighted to highlight the inspiring journey <a id=\"ember332\" class=\"ember-view\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/beatriz-orfao-e-vale-tabernero-5558a5115\/\">BEATRIZ ORFAO E VALE TABERNERO<\/a>, currently a postdoctoral researcher, recruited by <a id=\"ember333\" class=\"ember-view\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/mohammed-zaknoune-08a25915b\/\">Mohammed ZAKNOUNE<\/a> within the ANODE group.<\/p>\n<p>Through her career and determination, Beatriz helps to encourage young women to consider careers in science, thereby becoming a source of inspiration for the next generation of female researchers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Of Spanish origin<\/strong>, she made a radical change of country and a radical shift in her research focus, moving from Monte Carlo simulation and advanced characterisation to a strong commitment to nanotechnology, <strong>the fabrication and characterisation of III-V devices, in particular GaN-based Schottky diodes for high-frequency applications.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over the past two and a half years, Beatriz has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to technological research within the IEMN\u2019s cleanroom, quickly learning to use a wide range of equipment and contributing to several publications in international journals and at conferences.<\/p>\n<p>Beatriz expresses her gratitude to the<a class=\"NBQaMOapyvoNfXRvUhkMQEypnZCoQVSnuqA\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/iemn-cnrs\/\" target=\"_self\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">IEMN<\/a> for their hospitality and for providing the technological and characterisation resources that made her work possible.
