Le nord de la France b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d&rsquo;un climat favorable \u00e0 la culture du lin et \u00e0 la production de fibres. Un processus connu sous le nom de \u00ab rouissage \u00bb est n\u00e9cessaire pour faciliter l&rsquo;extraction m\u00e9canique en usine des fibres de lin de leurs tiges m\u00e8res. Pendant le rouissage, la mati\u00e8re entre les fibres et la tige se d\u00e9compose, ce qui facilite l&rsquo;extraction m\u00e9canique des fibres. Il existe une p\u00e9riode de rouissage optimale : un rouissage insuffisant complique l&rsquo;extraction des fibres, tandis qu&rsquo;un rouissage prolong\u00e9 entra\u00eene une diminution de la qualit\u00e9 des fibres. <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Traditionnellement, le moment de la fin du rouissage est \u00e9valu\u00e9 par des moyens agricoles artisanaux. Dans le contexte de l\u2019Agriculture 4.0, les technologies modernes permettent d&rsquo;envisager des outils qui pr\u00e9disent le rouissage optimal. Une collaboration entre l&rsquo;IEMN, l&rsquo;UGSF et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Van Robbaeys Fr\u00e8res ainsi que des fonds du CNRS (projet 80Prime) ont permis de travailler dans ce domaine.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Dans le cadre d&rsquo;une th\u00e8se soutenue par Ali Reda, nous avons men\u00e9 des \u00e9tudes fondamentales pour comprendre les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques des tiges et des fibres de lin aux \u00e9chelles macro, micro et nanom\u00e9triques. Sur la base de ces \u00e9tudes fondamentales, nous avons d\u00e9montr\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;un outil intelligent (IoT) combinant la m\u00e9canique, la microscopie num\u00e9rique et l&rsquo;analyse d&rsquo;images. La fissuration du tissu ext\u00e9rieur des tiges de lin, due \u00e0 la torsion m\u00e9canique appliqu\u00e9e par l&rsquo;outil, est quantifi\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de la microscopie optique et de l&rsquo;analyse d&rsquo;images et sert de nouvel indicateur du degr\u00e9 de rouissage des tiges. Cela permet d&rsquo;identifier le point d&rsquo;arr\u00eat optimal du rouissage.
