Un courant entre l\u2019anode et la cathode g\u00e9n\u00e8re des bulles d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne et de chlore, que le transistor peut d\u00e9tecter et transformer en impulsions \u00e9lectriques. N. Cl\u00e9ment et al. \u00a9 American Chemical Society<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lorsque l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne est produit lors de l\u2019\u00e9lectrolyse de l\u2019eau, de l\u2019\u00e9nergie est perdue \u00e0 chaque \u00e9mission de bulle. Dans une nouvelle \u00e9tude, des chercheurs du CNRS, IEMN, Villeneuve d\u2019Ascq, NTT, Tokyo et du CEA Marcoules ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que des transistors de 25 nm \u2013 si petits qu\u2019ils sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s 0D \u2013 peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour transformer cette \u00e9nergie perdue en impulsions \u00e9lectriques. Plusieurs millions de ces transistors 0D pourraient \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour d\u00e9tecter des bulles uniques et g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des impulsions avec une efficacit\u00e9 optimale, en r\u00e9cup\u00e9rant une partie de l\u2019\u00e9nergie perdue lors de l\u2019\u00e9lectrolyse et en la rendant utilisable pour d\u2019autres applications. En th\u00e9orie, 2 millions de ces transistors 0D pourraient tenir sous la microbaignoire, ce qui r\u00e9sulterait en des impulsions de 500 \u00b5W et un rendement d\u2019\u00e9mission d\u2019impulsions d\u2019environ 99%.<\/p>\n<p>Ces r\u00e9sultats pourraient avoir une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019applications, comme des laboratoires sur puce pour le stockage d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne.
