Plus sp\u00e9cifiquement, le sujet traite du couplage optom\u00e9canique dans les cavit\u00e9s des cristaux phoXoniques. Cette \u00e9tude montre comment la th\u00e9orie des perturbations fournit un outil efficace d&rsquo;analyse et de pr\u00e9diction du comportement de la modulation dans de telles structures. Cette m\u00e9thode permet \u00e9galement d&rsquo;\u00e9conomiser du temps de calcul en comparaison aux calculs num\u00e9riques purs.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tude th\u00e9orique de la propagation des ondes dans les milieux p\u00e9riodiques est d&rsquo;abord introduite, puis les param\u00e8tres de l&rsquo;existence simultan\u00e9e des bandes interdites photoniques et phononiques sont d\u00e9duites. Le d\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;une m\u00e9thode semi-analytique ayant pour but d&rsquo;analyser l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 du couplage acousto-optique dans les structures p\u00e9riodiques artificielles est ensuite r\u00e9alis\u00e9. La th\u00e9orie des perturbations est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e jusqu&rsquo;au 2\u00e9me ordre. Celle-ci, associ\u00e9e \u00e0 des consid\u00e9rations de sym\u00e9trie, est utilis\u00e9e pour l&rsquo;interpr\u00e9tation des r\u00e9sultats. Une illustration de la versatilit\u00e9 de la m\u00e9thode, bas\u00e9e d&rsquo;une cavit\u00e9 ponctuelle L1 sur substrat silicium, est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e. Les r\u00e9sultats obtenus sont en accord avec ceux donn\u00e9s par une m\u00e9thode purement num\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n<h5>Abstract:<\/h5>\n<p>In this thesis, a study of periodic microstructures and their applications to optical modulation by acoustical waves is presented. More specifically, it deals with optomechanical coupling in phoXonic crystal cavities. This study shows how the perturbation theroy provides an efficient tool to analyse and predict the behaviour of modulation in such structures. Moreover, when compared to pure numerical ones, this method leads to calculation time saving.<\/p>\n<p>The theory of periodic media is first introduced and then we derive the parameters for the simultaneous existence of photonic and phononic bandgaps. We end up by the development of a semi-analytical method to analyse acousto-optic coupling efficiency in artificial periodic structures. The perturbation theory is developped up to 2nd order and is used together with symmetry considerationss for interpretations.
