However, for a large part of the time, this requires energy-hungry systems. The need for low-energy cost processing close to the sensor is therefore becoming apparent. The LEOPAR project is part of the Near Sensor Computing framework and aims to design a low-power pre-processing unit capable of discriminating a signal and assessing its relevance, and therefore processing only useful data.
