miniatures pour des applications du domaine de l\u2019Internet des Objets (IoT), une \u00e9quipe de chercheurs pilot\u00e9e par l\u2019Institut d\u2019\u00e9lectronique, de micro\u00e9lectronique et de nanotechnologie, a mis au point une \u00e9lectrode performante \u00e0 haut potentiel (4.7 V) en vue d\u2019une int\u00e9gration dans des micro-batteries \u00e0 ions lithium (Li-ion). Les chercheurs augmentent les performances de ces dispositifs en jouant sur l\u2019\u00e9paisseur des \u00e9lectrodes et modifient la porosit\u00e9 du mat\u00e9riau permettant une restitution tr\u00e8s rapide du courant, faisant l\u2019\u00e9tat de l\u2019art sur ce mat\u00e9riau. Ces travaux sont publi\u00e9s dans la revue <em>Energy Storage Materials<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Les objets communicants n\u00e9cessitent des sources d\u2019\u00e9nergie adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 leur taille, leur mobilit\u00e9 et leur besoin d\u2019autonomie jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent limit\u00e9e. Leur miniaturisation, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la taille d\u2019un grain de riz, ouvrirait la voie \u00e0 de nouvelles applications telles que des mesures toxicologiques dans le corps humain ou le contr\u00f4le de zone pollu\u00e9e. Dans ce cadre, une \u00e9quipe de recherche pilot\u00e9e par l\u2019Institut d\u2019\u00e9lectronique, de micro\u00e9lectronique et de nanotechnologie (<u>IEMN<\/u>, CNRS\/ISEN Lille\/Universit\u00e9 Polytechnique des Hauts-de-France\/\u00c9cole Centrale de Lille\/Universit\u00e9 de Lille)<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/insis.cnrs.fr\/fr\/cnrsinfo\/vers-le-developpement-delectrodes-poreuses-et-performantes-pour-micro-batteries-ions#footnoteref1_zgg7r0j\">1<\/a><\/sup> d\u00e9veloppe un mat\u00e9riau d\u2019\u00e9lectrodes augmentant les performances de micro-batteries Li-ion.<\/p>\n<p>Afin de fournir d\u2019avantage d\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e0 de petits objets communicants, les chercheurs \u00e9paississent les \u00e9lectrodes (&gt; 7 \u00b5m) de micro-batteries et embarquent ainsi plus de mati\u00e8res actives. De plus, ils rendent le mat\u00e9riau poreux ce qui favorise la circulation des ions lithium au travers des \u00e9lectrodes. Cela augmente aussi la surface d\u2019interaction entre l\u2019\u00e9lectrolyte liquide contenu dans la batterie miniature et le mat\u00e9riau d\u2019\u00e9lectrode. Cette propri\u00e9t\u00e9 permet \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9lectrode de cycler vite, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire de restituer jusqu\u2019\u00e0 84 % de sa capacit\u00e9 maximale en seulement 6 minutes. Ce r\u00e9sultat fait l\u2019\u00e9tat de l\u2019art sur ce mat\u00e9riau gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la porosit\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e par les chercheurs.
