itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Le maintien du contact solide\/solide aux interfaces \u00e9lectrode\/\u00e9lectrolyte pendant le cyclage n&rsquo;est pas trivial et constitue le principal d\u00e9fi pour la mise en oeuvre de la technologie des batteries \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat solide (SSB) au lithium. Les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s d&rsquo;adh\u00e9sion des composants de la batterie pourraient \u00eatre la pi\u00e8ce manquante que la communaut\u00e9 a n\u00e9glig\u00e9e. Cependant, l&rsquo;aspect de l&rsquo;adh\u00e9sion n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 abord\u00e9 auparavant parce que nous en savons tr\u00e8s peu \u00e0 ce sujet, principalement en raison de l&rsquo;approche limit\u00e9e pour la mesurer entre les mat\u00e9riaux de la batterie \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle nanom\u00e9trique. Le projet EFADBAT vise \u00e0 combler cette lacune scientifique en d\u00e9veloppant une approche bas\u00e9e sur le microscope \u00e0 force atomique avec une zone de contact \u00e9lectrode\/\u00e9lectrolyte et une g\u00e9om\u00e9trie contr\u00f4l\u00e9e. Cette approche permet d&rsquo;acc\u00e9der au travail d&rsquo;adh\u00e9sion normalis\u00e9 (J\/m2) et \u00e0 la force d&rsquo;adh\u00e9sion (N\/m2) entre la cathode s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e (d\u00e9pos\u00e9e par une technique de film mince sur la sonde AFM) et l&rsquo;\u00e9lectrolyte solide (d\u00e9pos\u00e9 sur un substrat). L&rsquo;effet de l&rsquo;adh\u00e9rence sur les performances de la batterie sera \u00e9tudi\u00e9 plus en d\u00e9tail par des SSB \u00e0 couche mince constitu\u00e9s de la m\u00eame cathode et du m\u00eame \u00e9lectrolyte et d\u00e9pos\u00e9s sur une plaquette de silicium planaire. La r\u00e9ussite de ce projet nous permettra d&rsquo;acc\u00e9der aux propri\u00e9t\u00e9s d&rsquo;adh\u00e9sion des mat\u00e9riaux de la batterie, de corr\u00e9ler leur effet aux performances de la batterie et d&rsquo;apporter de nouvelles perspectives \u00e0 la conception des mat\u00e9riaux pour les SSB.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Maintaining the solid\/solid contact at the electrode\/electrolyte interfaces during cycling is non-trivial and the main challenge for enabling the Lithium based solid-state battery (SSB) technology. The adhesion properties of the battery components might be the missing piece that the community overlooked. However, the adhesion aspect has not been addressed before because we know very little about it, primarily due to limited approach to measure it between the battery materials at the nanoscale. The EFADBAT project aim to close this scientific gap by developing an atomic force microscope-based approach with controlled electrode\/electrolyte contact area and geometry. This approach allows accessing the normalized adhesion work (J\/m2) and adhesion force (N\/m2) between the selected cathode (deposited by thin film technique on the AFM probe) and solid electrolyte (deposited on a substrate) materials. The effect of the adhesion on battery performance will be further investigated by thin film SSBs made of the same cathode and electrolyte and deposited on planar silicon wafer.
