Cette m\u00e9thode am\u00e9liore l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique via le stockage et le transport de fluides secondaires \u00e0 forte densit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. Ces coulis de glace, compos\u00e9s de cristaux de glace en suspension dans une solution aqueuse, ne sont malheureusement pas encore r\u00e9pandues en raison du surinvestissement li\u00e9 aux g\u00e9n\u00e9rateurs de type surface racl\u00e9e. Dans ce cadre, le projet COOLISSE, consiste \u00e0 participer \u00e0 la modernisation du secteur de la r\u00e9frig\u00e9ration en concevant de nouveaux types de g\u00e9n\u00e9rateurs de coulis de glace. Il s\u2019agit donc d\u00e9velopper des surfaces en acier inoxydable o\u00f9 la glace form\u00e9e sera emport\u00e9e par l\u2019\u00e9coulement du fluide, sans n\u00e9cessiter de raclage m\u00e9canique.<\/p>\n<p>Ces surfaces biomim\u00e9tiques micro\/nanostructur\u00e9es non mouillantes, dot\u00e9es de propri\u00e9t\u00e9s antigivre, seront obtenues par combinaison de deux proc\u00e9d\u00e9s originaux : fabrication additive (production de microstructures) et ablation laser femtoseconde (rugosit\u00e9 nanom\u00e9trique), qui am\u00e8neront \u00e0 une surface en acier inoxydable textur\u00e9e multi-\u00e9chelles. Ces surfaces seront impr\u00e9gn\u00e9es par un liquide inerte afin d\u2019obtenir une surface infus\u00e9e glissante (SLIPS). Le second objectif du projet est de d\u00e9velopper des m\u00e9thodes et une expertise sur la caract\u00e9risation de ces surfaces sous \u00e9coulement \u00e0 basse temp\u00e9rature. Le potentiel de ces surfaces antigivre sera \u00e9tudi\u00e9 au travers de leurs actions sur la formation de glace, en analysant le temps de cong\u00e9lation, la force d\u2019adh\u00e9sion et la nucl\u00e9ation en cours de cong\u00e9lation. These ice slurries, composed of ice crystals suspended in an aqueous solution are unfortunately not yet widespread because of the over-investment related to scraped surface or supercooling type generators. Within this COOLISSE project, our objective is thus to participate in the modernisation of the sector refrigeration by designing new type of ice slurry generators. Our aim is therefore to develop stainless steel surfaces where formed ice could be carried away by the fluid flow, without the need of any mechanical scraping.<\/p>\n<p>These original non-wetting micro\/nanostructured surfaces, inspired from nature, with anti-icing properties will be obtained by a combination of two original and efficient processes: additive manufacturing (to yield micro-structures) and femtosecond laser ablation (to reach nanometer scale roughness) that will allow obtaining a multiscale and very dense textured stainless steel surface. \u00a0These surfaces will be then infused by inert liquid in order to obtain slippery infused surface (SLIPS). The second objective of the project is to develop methods and expertise on the surface characterization under flow at low temperature [-15\u00b0C to 0\u00b0C]. The potential in anti-icing applications of the designed surfaces will be proven by investigating their action mechanisms on ice formation, analysing the freezing time, adhesion strength and nucleation in the freezing process.
