N\u00e9anmoins, les d\u00e9lais de codage vid\u00e9o et de transmission r\u00e9seau sont incompressibles.<\/p>\n<p>Le codage vid\u00e9o lin\u00e9aire (LVC) est un cadre \u00e9mergent pour la transmission vid\u00e9o sans fil vers de multiples utilisateurs. S&rsquo;appuyant uniquement sur des op\u00e9rateurs lin\u00e9aires, le LVC fournit \u00e0 chaque r\u00e9cepteur une qualit\u00e9 vid\u00e9o proportionnelle \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 de son canal. Le LVC souffre toutefois d&rsquo;une latence de codage importante.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le projet Zero-Latency Linear Video Coding (ZL-LVC) vise \u00e0 proposer un syst\u00e8me de codage et de transmission vid\u00e9o de bout en bout \u00e0 latence faible \u00e0 nulle. L&rsquo;objectif est d&rsquo;optimiser le compromis d\u00e9bit-latence-distorsion pour les syst\u00e8mes traditionnels et LVC. Ces derniers peuvent b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration du LVC et des r\u00e9seaux neuronaux dans la phase d&rsquo;apprentissage.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nous devons donc relever trois grands d\u00e9fis scientifiques :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00c9tudier les choix de conception des codeurs les mieux adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction de la latence ;<\/li>\n<li>Proposer des sch\u00e9mas efficaces de r\u00e9duction de la latence pour les codecs conventionnels et LVC ;<\/li>\n<li>Proposer un syst\u00e8me de transmission vid\u00e9o hybride (conventionnel + LVC) avec une latence arbitrairement faible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nous \u00e9valuerons le potentiel du ZL-LVC par le biais d&rsquo;un d\u00e9monstrateur avec des plateformes radio d\u00e9finies par logiciel.<\/p>\n<p>Le projet ZL-LVC a \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9 par l&rsquo;ANR dans le cadre de l&rsquo;appel \u00e0 projets 2020. Le partenariat est dirig\u00e9 par le prof.
