bulk of regional research in a vast scientific field ranging from the physics of materials and nanostructures to telecommunications systems and acoustic and microwave instrumentation. Our researchers have at their disposal exceptional experimental resources, in particular technology and characterization facilities whose capabilities and performance are at the highest European level. The central laboratory building houses the main technological resources and the common administrative services. The antennas located on the <a href=\"https:\/\/sciences-technologies.univ-lille.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lille Faculty of Technology<\/a> and on the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uphf.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universit\u00e9 Polytechnique des Hauts-de-France<\/a> as well as in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.junia.com\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JUNIA<\/a>\u00a0in Lille are also dedicated to research activities. They also maintain the link between research and master's and engineering school courses. The Institute's central laboratory (LCI), designed to be the IEMN's showcase, is a modern 11,000 m2 building with two clean rooms, numerous specialized laboratories and
